If you go darker that 40% you will start finding it harder to see the interior colour. 40% makes the car look like it is tinted but not too dark. I will post pics soon...
man I am in the same boat as y'all. I want to tint my windows but still be able to see my cranberry red interior from the outside. I was thinking of going lighter than 40 and going with Pinnacle 50. Now, that you have done 40, would you go lighter or keep it at 40 if you were to do it again. Here is a E92 with Red interior and Pinnacle 50.

Now that I've done 40%, I would not go lighter. But be warned...it's amazing how different 40% can look based on lighting conditions and the angle at which you are looking. On a sunny day it looks pretty light, but in overcast it looks a lot darker. Looking at it directly looks lighter and off angle is darker. I have realized that if you have the Pano roof, the 40% will not be enough for it to seamlessly flow into the rear window tint. 30% is probably just right for that look. The other thing is, in the summer I end up rolling my windows down which shows off the red interior. This makes the window tint almost irrelevant with the exception of the back window. If I could do it all again I might just get 30% or 35%....get the seamless integration into the back window, then roll down the windows to show the interior.....

Thanks for your input. I am thinking 50 maybe too light and 40 may work better for me. I'll make my decision when I get to shop and look at samples in real life. I don't drive with the windows down because I blast AC in the summer so showing off the red using your method may not work for me. I have the pano roof and usually have it closed without the sun shade so that should let in more light into the cabin.

If I go with pinnacle 50, the effective tint is 35? (0.7 x 0.5)

I always like the 35% tint look on cars.

I went with a net 25% tint on Palladium Silver with a Crystal Grey Leather interior. I love it. I'll get a pic up in the next day or two. Car needs a cleaning first.

Hey,

I'm going to get my windows tinted tomorrow (Formula One Pinnacle)...but I didn't realize that the car came with stock 70% tint already?

So the US C300's (w205) has 70% tint...I was going to get the Pinnacle 35% done...but would that end up being too dark?

As the above poster said, would pinnacle 50 be better b/c of the stock tint?

Thanks

I am going to go with pinnacle 50 on the sides and 40 or 30 in the back window to give it some tint as 50 all around I feel would be too light.

Got the cars tinted today, Formula 1 Pinnacle 35% all around.

Very happy with the outcome and could feel the heat reduction when the sun came out.

Some of the pics make the tint look darker than it really is, but prob b/c of the angle and shade.

I went with the pinnacle 50 on the sides and 30 on the back window to give the car some degree of tint. I am happy with this combination because I can still see the cranberry red even in on a cloudy day.

If I were to tint my C300, 35% would be the darkest I'd go.

Not only because it's my State's limit on tint, but IMO any darker than 35% makes the car look too "ghetto".

Hi Guys,

For those that have the tints for a while now, are you seeing the tint getting light scuff marks from the seals? (ie vertical lines from rubbing the seal/felt line)
