2015 c300 loaners

Since the c class is no longer an entry level car, would they be loaning out cla's instead?

i've driven cla 250 4m once, pretty fun to drive (maybe because i borrowed it and floored it?) but tiny indeed.

feels like i cant even put on my winter coat while in that crowded space. (not true, definitely) but yeah it feels tight in space.

another thing i didnt like is the headlamp on that cla. looks out of class somehow (personal pref).

park place mb in dallas just 'bought' an entire new loaner fleet of mostly 2014 c classes. it may be a while before they start mixing in 2015 c classes, but I bet they will. They have mostly c classes for loaners, but also have a number of GLK's.

I've had an E class as a loaner in the past, so they don't just keep the cheapest car on the lot for ALL the loaners.

All you have to do is before your service, call and say, "oh, and I need a loaner, c class or bigger. I have dinner plans and I'm driving".

I think it is dealer dependent.

My dealer has C250 coupes and sedans, C300 Sedans, GLK 350 and ML350s in their loaner fleet.

It just depends on your dealer. MB Seattle uses mostly C Sedans with some C Coupes, GLK, ML, E Sedan, and Smarts thrown in there (they're also a Smart dealer). Even though the CLA has been out a year they haven't added any to their fleet yet (maybe because it's a fast seller so they'd rather sell to customers?)

Since my dealer uses E and ML I wouldn't be surprised if they added the C once demand slows down and they can get good incentives from corporate.

I don't think it would be smart to change most of the loaner fleet to cla or gla's. A majority of 'serious' MB owners have a certain expectation of the MB experience, and being 'forced' to drive a cla when your s class is being serviced isn't very cool IMO. A c class is pretty doable for anybody.

I got an e class as a loaner once, and when I got back in my c class, I thought "hey, my car isn't really that much smaller than the e".

I sat in a cla, and it just felt like a small, tight fit. I've also heard they rode quite stiffly. For first time MB buyers, all this is fine to them, because they're thinking: hey, I just bought a mercedes for $35000!!!!! Brand new!!!!!

But give c and e class owners a cla to drive around for a couple of days, I bet they can't wait to get their car back.

Also, trickling in a few 2015 c classes to the loaner fleet would help sell them to current MB owners; they'll likely want to upgrade. No one's going to "upgrade" to a cla though.

This is just my way of thinking, I'm not bashing the cla, it's just not in the same class as any other newish MB in the US. Like I said, the 2014 c class, and especially the 2015 c class are not far at all away from the feeling of an e class. Plus, the 2015 keeps being referred to as feeling like a baby s class. None of these terms have EVER been used to describe the cla.

where's my flame suit? lol.

once again, not bashing the cla, it's a neat looking car. I'm pretty sure everyone with a c class or above knows what I'm trying to say in general.

I too work with Park Place in Dallas. My service advisor explained that they buy whatever they can get a deal on from MB and also what will re-sell well upon retirement. I have had C's, E's, GLK's and a very nice ML recently. The even have a few E coupes. It's safe to say that my dream car, the S550 Coupe, will never be in the mix

One would think that larger dealers at least....ones with a wealthy client base (Manhattan,LA,DC,etc)...might have one that's reserved for good customers...ones already owning an S Class or ones that might be enticed into making the S Class their next car.
