Hey guys, just purchased a new W205 that was on the lot today. Loving it so far. I'm am considering purchasing the Multi-Shield protection plan which covers bent rims, curb rash, replacing the run-flats, and paintless dent removal, for a period of 5 years I believe. The price is $1,599.00. Has anyone used this plan before, and do you think it's worth it?

I may also extend my warranty to 6 or 7 years because I know how much repairs can cost later on. Is it better to go through MB or a third party? I was considering the 6yr/75k for $2100. What do you guys think?

I have that same package...

So far I have had at least a $1000 bucks worth of door dings removed in my own driveway. I haven't needed anything in the wheel and tire category yet but I feel like it was money well spent in the dent department.

 

I have seen on this mbworld (not necessarily in the W205 section) of MB dealers/finance managers who make a business of giving MB extended warranty at a significant reduction in price if you make it simple to them, call or email VIN, etc. I'm thinking there's a few in CA, and TX. I'm not sure the range of prices, but assume every dealer pays the same...for the same length/milage warranty. It's just if your dealer is willing to give it to you close to their cost.
