No offense, but I feel like the 300 is sub par to almost any car that is even close to it's asking price (Mazda 6/Honda Accord) let alone the brand new B9 A4's and 4 series.
Maybe my opinion of the 300 is so low because the only ones I've driven are dealer loaners? Or maybe it's not fair to compare it to the 450 as much as I do? I dunno...
Really wasn't a fan of the A4 or Audi's in general.

I did extensive test drives in the Merc, BMW 430 Gran Coupe, Lexus IS350, Lexus RC350 and the A4.
None of them was a clear winner for me. Front seat comfort was at the top of my list of criteria. The C300 was best by far for front seat comfort on 2-3 hour drives. How many people test drive cars for 3+ hours? I do.
The BMW was best chassis/handling/power. But the front seat was awful for me. Plus the C300 interior beat out the BMW.
I actually preferred the Lexus IS350 exterior to the others, but again the F Sport front seats were not good.
I wasn't able to drive an A4 for extended drives. The Audi dealer was not very accommodating. That being said, I was prepared to order an A4 with a manual transmission. But the dealer wouldn't budge much on price and wanted 10% down (non refundable) to place the order. The sport front seats were also not as comfy as the C300.
Since I was planning on leasing, reliability wasn't as high of a concern as it would normally be. So in the end, I went with the C300. Best interior of the group (the A4 being a close second).

I have had both the Lexus RC 350 F sport and the IS350 F sport. I agree with you about the seats in both of these cars. The RC just sat too low and would break my back by the time I got out of it. So this time around I decided to give the 2017 C300 sport sedan a try. I've had it for almost 2 months and I'm really enjoying driving the car. The car is faster than I thought it would be given that it's a four-cylinder turbo and I was used to driving my six-cylinder Lexus. I wasn't interested in the turbo on the Lexus as I've heard reports that it's very slow. I think Mercedes did a good job with the C300. I'm getting way better gas mileage than I did on either of my Lexus vehicles. I have the Burmester stereo and I think that could be better since I had Mark Levinson in both of my Lexus vehicles. The only other thing I wish I had on the Mercedes is the park assist, I miss that feature. That only came on my RC 350 F sport not the Is. I didn't even consider an Audi. Like I said so far very happy with my c300 sport sedan.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I have owned my C43 only for a brief time. I test drove and borrowed a lot of cars for 6 months (driving my wife crazy). The C43 also allows my wife to drive it in comfort mode, and me.... guess :-).
I seriously try to drive it in other modes but I just can't. I do ECO when I'm long distance freeway cruising, but that's it. I've never even been in the regular sport mode haha. I didn't get this car for the "comfort", otherwise I wouldn't own a car with 'AMG' in the name

I even drive in manual a lot. I guess that goes back to driving a standard. I don't really need to...
I also do manual mode constantly. I like using the engine to slow down rather than the brakes plus in S+ it wants you to cruise everywhere @ 3500-4000rpms. I click it down to 7th gear even when only doing 40mph. This motor has such great low end tq that it'll maintain speed @ ~1200rpm all day. I've even climbed some decent hills down in that range.

I prefer to open up the revs though... Gotta love that sound!
It's a C220d with AMG package. Until now i'm loving the car but missing the ability to turn off completely the ESP (from my previous BMW) to make some slides on the runabouts.
I have some mods in my mind so i will be posting here more photos

Was a bit today and earlier rain had the ground a bit damp. Anyway, turning onto a freeway on-ramp I got her the most sideways I've been in it so far. Such a great torque split; so much in the rear that it easily snap-oversteers and just enough in the front to hold you in it and pull you back strait, then BAM > GONE!! I was doing ~120 by the time I got to the merge point/roughly 1/4 mile later. 100% stock right now. Going stage 2 next week is going to be nuts!

*Disclaimer: This was on an industrial beltway section where NO ONE was around.
And I was in Mexico
