Discovered - Rear view mirror for backup
, I just got my C400 not too long ago and want to share things we may not already know.If you get in reverse and press right side mirror to adjust to see your rear right wheel when parallel parking, it will remember it for next time and tilt back up to normal shortly after you drive forward.
Leave adjustment on left side mirror if you want tilt, click right side mirror if you don't want tilt.
Enjoy.

I was wondered why drivers side didnt tilt.. i guess people at MB thought it would be better to stick out your head out of the window
. While owning MB i was kinda stunned on how overengineered these cars are.. and yet car has some wired aspects.

I had a loaner new c180 and went mad trying to figure out how to do it to protect the alloys when I park! It didn't have memory seats so wasn't possible.
On the up side my w205 is here... See other post
when the left button is active in reverse, most people don't adjust the driver's mirror down, hence it stays in its current location, and neither mirror moves. with the right button active, the reverse adjusted mirror moves to its position until set into drive.
i could've sworn the drivers side does it too, but didn't adjust it in reverse because i thought it would become annoying
try this....adjust your drivers side mirror down while in reverse and the left button is selected. leave the left selected for the next time you are in reverse
