Engine Questions:

A few questions about engine architectures and nomenclature so to say... What are the engine "models" for the two variants of C-Class available in the US, the C300 and the C400 4-Matic?

Were the old C350s the 3.5 M272 V6 and the new 3.0L V6 Bi-Turbo are the M276? And what is the nomenclature for the new I4 turbo, is this the same architecture of the one that is uptuned in the CLA45?

Thanks

the 3.0 V6 is M276 DE30. which is similar to the 3.5 from the 2013-2014 C350/E350/ML350/GLK350 etc which uses the M276 DE35.

the 2.0 in the C300 is different from the 2.0 in the CLA/GLA 250/45AMG. The CLA/GLA 250 uses M270 DE20, while the CLA/GLA 45AMG uses M133 DE20

While the C300 is M274 DE20.

Not sure what the difference is between M270, M274 and M133. My guess is M270 is designed for Transverse mount (FWD/AWD) while M274 is made for longitudinal mount (RWD/AWD).

Thank you so much! I know about all of the engines on the 320/430/500/550/63/65 lineup but not the newer C/CLA/GLA classes, perfect answer.
