Hood open in the rain - is this going to hurt anything?
Got into a fender bender with my brand new car 
Bodyshop took off bumper and is replacing some stuff and the hood was also a little damaged, but they left it out in heavy rain...
I assume this is not going to cause any issue I hope? They said the engine bay gets water in it anyway through driving in rain.

It gets just as wet when you're driving in heavy rain, so it should be a total non-issue.
