I wanted AirMatic to have the flexibility to run the 19" wheels without giving up too much comfort. Even on 18"/steel the ride was firmer than I wanted. Here at least there were no AirMatics on the ground with any of my color choices, so I decided to do an ordered car. (I did get to drive an AirMatic car before deciding).

AirMatic reliability is good right up until around 75k miles. Then you start seeing individual strut failures, and if you're really unlucky a compressor failure.

Thanks, sorry for the late response.. this video is more on topic btw. Here you see the airmatic in action, just skip the startup parts. I speeded up the scenes where the car alters the height x8.

Struts are by far more expensive than the Airmatic compressor unit.

Yeah, I've had an AirMatic car in one form or another since 2007. None of it's cheap.
