Need Help for a deposit back!!
I just made a deal with my local dealer several days ago, but the problem is they have to locate the car from the other dealership.
They asked me to put 1500 dollars off, and then they said they will call that dealership to check the car's availability.
I did it.
The time when I put my deposit, my sales person said they can have the answer very quick.
It has already been 4 days after I put my deposit, and my sales person told me that there was a customer who is going to see that car in that dealership.
Ans that is why they are still waiting for that dealership to give them a positive feedback.
Can I ask for my deposit back if my dealership still can not get that car on Monday?
Since I do not want to wait all the time for a uncertain response from another dealership.

generally,if you signed the first sales agreement (which they try to make you do）and if they already went through the trouble to located and transport the vehicle then it is very hard to get a refund.
but my friend did get her deposit back when she put on the "I'm not leaving until i get my refund back" attitude.
put in mind dealers can call the cops and have you removed from the property if you act out of control. that does not help.

I think it depends on whether you signed anything. If you did, read the fine print. If you just gave the a credit card or a check, and did not sign anything you will get your deposit back.

In my situation, it seems like my dealer just can not get that car because that dealer is working a deal on it.
I am just afraid that my dealer are not willing to give the deposit back to me until they confirm that car is sold.
I just really need a car now.
I put " the deposit is refundable if they can not get the car" on my first sales agreement.

My sales told me that that dealership is working on a deal on that car.
I just afraid that my dealer are not willing to give my money back until they confirm that car is sold.

ya so in your case you had the fine print initialed then you can get a refund if the other dealer had it sold.
but before they clear that hold on the other dealer, your dealer might try their very best to try to sell you into another car and ask you to wait for it. that is when you say no and get the money back.

Yes you can get your deposit back...if the deposit was for a specific car and the dealership sold that car...then you get your money back. However if you're serious about buying the car I don't see why you wouldn't wait...give your salesman a deadline in which you expect to get a "yes" or "no" on the deal. Realistically speaking I think most waited several months to get the car they wanted...I wouldn't be too upset about a week or two.

Check your state laws. Here in Florida they have to give you your deposit back upon request any time before delivery. Also on all signed contracts you have about three days to change your mind and back out.
