Lighting Package add on
Picking up my car Monday Found almost the exact one i want just without the lighting package(p1). I am close with the sales rep who sold me my car he gave me a great deal that's why i could not pass it up. 36 month lease $1550.00 at signing which includes first month and dmv fees 12 k a year and a payment of $470 a month . its a c300 4 matic sport package with msrp 48 and change . I dunno if it is possible but has anyone had mercedes change the loghts from the regular ones to the led bi xenon i see the lighting package is $800 has anyone done this before?

well its definitely not going to be $800 when/if you do it. Even if the headlights and taillights were a simple swap out (I doubt it), each headlight would be more than $800. This would not be cost efficient

One ILS headlight cost about $2500, also you would need a new windshield, ILS camera, several different wiring harnesses and hours of labour and programming.

Holy cow! ... (mental note, better make sure the insurance is kept up to date)

Just curious Vic, what's the deal with the windshield - is it because of the camera system?

Yes, if you have ILS or distronic plus you will have at least one MFK camera fitted in the windshield.

Isn't distronic plus radar based, and will have sensor placed behind the front grill for exclusive models, and behind the star for those grills with the star in it?

Yes, that as well, but it uses a MFK for advanced traffic recognition.

Ah.. i understand. so that would be the "PLUS" part of it..

the older distronic system which is radar based, and the added stereo camera based "plus" system that self-drives the car in congestive traffic situations.
