2014 C250 Back Window Spots.
Hello All,
We just picked up a CPO 2014 C250. We bought it on a cloudy day, but the next day when it was sunny we noticed a grid of circles on the back window. They were visible in sunlight. Or, if I wore polarized sunglasses they were visible all the time. Is this a defect? I've read other forums saying this was typical in cheaper windows, but is this common for Mercedes? I called the local dealership and they told me to take a picture and email it to the service manager.
Opinions?
Thanks,
Mike

Its is normal to see the glass manufacturing patterns in polarized light but under normal sunlight they should be invisible. If its a uniform pattern, it would most likely be the glass manufacturing process.
It is something that you should have noticed if you wear those Polarized glasses while driving. You will see the various patterns of the rear windshields by the differing manufacturers.

Hello, i was also wondering about that phenomena. I see it in all types of cars, old and new. I wonder if it also can be the result of a cymatic result (see youtube videos for explanation about visible sound). Every day we are more surrounded by frequencies of all kind (radar, wi fi, cel phones, bluetooth, satelite). Maybe some of those frequencies are causing the paterns that so many attribute to manufacturing processes. If its so, then we should be worry of some other effects. Any way, it´s just an other hypothesis.
