Would you still buy this car again?
I was told by someone at MB Customer Service that they do monitor online forums and social media, so they do know what's being said about their products in the cyber world. On some other forums factory reps do respond to complaints, but those responses are always generic and simply refer the complaining parties to the proper channels. They are not going to get into online debates or deal with controversial matters.
MB Customer Service has been very good and, if you have an issue, will assign a Case Manager to you and make sure your problem is taken care of.
The head up display I find to be pretty useless, unless you’re using your Navi for destination purposes – but it was on the car I liked (I like the gray/red leather combo).C’est la vie.
The fit and finish are quite good.I’ve hand washed mine now a few times (something I actually find enjoyable) and don’t notice any imperfections or fit issues. The interior is outstanding – well done MB. I might configure the seat slightly differently with a little more cush, but then I don’t have much of a behind to speak of, so maybe it’s my bony backside. The leather, the lighting, the instrumentation, the pano roof all contribute to an overall feeling of comfy wellbeing.Being a bit of a stereophile, and having had installed a couple of high end after-market stereos (back when I still owned a comb), I’ll say that the Burmester system is superb – nothing flashy, but very solid across the board.I’m even impressed with the mp3 format, but Sirius sounds like it’s coming from down a well. That’s fine – there’s nothing I need from Sirius, and I won’t be renewing.
The ride is very good – even with the 19” wheels – which can be a bit jolting in a pothole.I’d probably opt for non-run flats, but my wallet is a bit thin.I couldn’t really say what the non-Airmatic ride is like – but the overall cabin comfort, noise level and ride are certainly up to par.If I had a second car to buy, I’d choose a well-equipped Range Rover Evoque to use for my serious winter and mountain play vehicle, but for an in-town cruiser, the C 300 is quite nice.
Overall, I’m quite impressed, and quite satisfied. When the nice Lexus or BMW pulls up beside me, I smile and think, “To each his own - I’m perfectly happy.”
Cheers,
Just my two cents.
In any event what I read here is no different to the BMW forums I use.
High expectations and disappointment vs perfect experiences by others
