They're saying it'll arrive in the US in the fall of 2015. It's on the internet, so it must be true.

Most importantly, they forgot to mention badges. It comes with AMG-exclusive badges.

honestly if it comes with all that and performs adequately, they can keep the hand built motor, the private lounge and the snob factor and i'll pocket the 10k difference.

Hope you enjoy middle-weight, poser branding cash grabs. They're playing you (and the rest of us) for the fool. It's the kind of car my uncle (who went looking for the lowest bidder when it came time to get eye surgery) would buy.

Or, in all seriousness, pickup a C400, buy a tune and adjustable suspension - pocket the $20k.

If the C450 was $20k+ above a C400 your comment would make sense.... it won't be even close to that though.

It's unofficial, but this site here says it'll base at $50k. http://carsprice2017.com/2016-merced...-4matic-price/

you're the fool if you think a c450 is $20k above the c400. this is a c400 with all the mods that i would want to add to it, straight from the factory and under warranty. i give less a damn about badges but any mods that isn't a hand built motor must mean im posing right?

hope you enjoy living in delusion.

Agreed!

I'm perfectly willing to believe that most AMG owners are well-mannered gentlemen who'd never behave as classlessly as the agitators we get on this forum whenever the C450 is brought up, but why is it that "some" have to come down here and pee in everyone else's Wheeties? You'd think they'd have plenty of things to talk about up there in the exhaulted AMG section and that the sheer delight of owning an AMG would keep them in a permanent state of euphoria with no time or concern for this kind of mean-spirited garbage. Is it really that important to police all the other forum sections for any sign that the pee-ons might be "posing"? Can't they enjoy their AMGs without trying to tear down everyone else? No doubt forums like this one would be far less vitriolic if they weren't anonymous.

Besides, there'd be no such thing as AMG if regular people didn't buy regular Mercedes and provide the mother company with the cash to finance specialty lines like AMG. I for one, am glad for BOTH. One day I just might own a "real" AMG, but for now, the C450 is squarely in my sights.

the 340i looks to be just a new engine (B58) with 320hp. if theyve given it the type of suspension, steering and exhaust upgrades from their M division as C450 did from AMG, then BMW would have called it a M340i similar to M235i.

i'm actually quite disappointed since that was on top of my test drive list.

Not sure, but I'm under the impression that it'll be the Mercedes plant in Vance Alabama. This video mentions C class production at the 2:48 mark.
I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has more information about this.

Ummm.. aren't those the same performance specs as the C400? So what exactly are you getting besides the pretender AMG logos? I mean if you want a true AMG, then shouldn't the C65 be the car?
