Advice

I went into my local dealership on Jan 23 and ordered my C300. At the time the SA indicated there were build slots in Feb they could swap for my order and he had my complete a deposit authorization. After a few days when the credit card wasn't charged I inquired and was told they only take the credit card info but don't actually take a deposit. Fast forward to yesterday and I inquired as to whether they had the Feb build date. The SA says he will get back to me. I wait 24 hours. Nada. Then I write again and the SA says he's written to his manager and as soon as he hears he will let me know (that was 5 hours ago). Is this normal behavior at Benz? My current car is a BMW and I knew my build date (and fortunately could track via the BMW site). Thoughts or suggestions appreciated.
