Replacing damaged rim?
Hey,
Basically, I damaged the driver's side front rim and I need to replace it. It's just that my wheels are "staggered". Is it cheaper to buy a new one or just fix it?
Front 225/45R17
Rear 245/40R17
2013 C250
Thanks

staggered means the front and back tyres are of different sizes. Your front 2 tyres are 225/45 R17 and your back 2 tyres are 245/40 R17
just buy a front rim that has 225/45R17 measurements

Are you looking to buy an OEM Rim? If so, it should be very easy, as the dealer will get you the right size.
The sizes you are quoting are tyre sizes and not the Rim width, which will be 17x7J, through to 17x 8J, depending upon model. I don't think any of the W205s have an 8.5" Rim, as stock (ie 8.5J) - but happy to stand corrected. I believe the W205 uses the same Rim size back and front, it is just the tyre sizes that is "staggered".
There are a range of tyres that you can fit onto these rimes, but it is important to get the correct combination for the car as the same tyre, fitted on a 7J rim will have differing characteristics, if fitted on an 8J Rim, because the agle of the sidewalks will differ.
