Over before it began..
I'm bitterly disappointed to say that I won't be joining the W205 owner's club..
As some around here know, I ordered back in September last year for a pretty much fully loaded C250 and have been incurring various dramas ever since. The initial order got cancelled due to a mix-up (4 week delay), then the car that got built turned out to be a wrong configuration (wrong interior trim), finally the car that arrived in late January has had an inexplicable number of 'undefined' delays until now. Today I find out that the car was damaged in transit and is awaiting parts.
So.. that was the end of the road for me. I was ready to pay essentially full retail pricing to get exactly what I wanted but turns out that even that didn't save me. Just a series of stuff-ups and unfortunate events. At least I got to savor the W205 in base model format as a loaner for a couple of weeks.
I've really enjoyed the forum guys.. sure there's some issues with the 1st year production vehicle but it's still an awesome car which I'll keep tabs on. Wishing all the new owners out there the best of luck and I may see you around at some stage.
Now it's time to crack open a beer.

Oh man that really sucks!!. I really feel for you mate.
Listen if you still want the C250 or maybe the new C63s
, PM me and I can forward you the dealer principal's name where I bought my C250 and see whether he can help you out.
The dealer is based in Regional NSW but I think he personally delivers the car to you anywhere in the eastern states.

Really sorry to hear that ... that must be so disappointing. Maybe SirC250 can help get you set up with a dealer that can handle an order properly, or even have something in stock that you'll like.
Even if you can't get into the C250 now, you can still hang out here and enjoy all the drama of a first year introduction.

I guess at some point enough is enough.
