Anyone have an actual lemon car? I do...
I'm extremely torn on whether or not I should pick up another or not... So many defects and I really do not want to deal with having a chance at another lemon/taking back my new one for similar issues I had in my old one and issues I've seen on this forum.
What would you guys do in my position? I really ****ing loved the car the entire time I had it, but my god was it a headache to reach a conclusion with MB...

What was the production date of your lemon and build location? From monitoring the problem threads, it seems most of the C205 issues are with the earlier built in 2014. Mine's production started in 12/23/14 and completed on 1/7/15 so I don't know what I have but so far it's been trouble free. If I was you, I would go for another C205 with leather seat and 2015 built dates.

- You can reasonably expect 2016 model year production to be generally improved, but that is not yet proven in this case, and you would need to wait a few months.
- You can reasonably expect an E Class to be quite trouble-free. It's done very well in reliability surveys for years. Perhaps your sympathetic dealer would sharpen his pencil for an in-stock unit.
- If you wish to leave, the Audi A6 (although not A4) has proven highly reliable. (Assuming if you love C Class, BMWs may seem too harsh, but suggest at least driving the 4 Series Gran Coupe).
- You should also at least test drive a new Cadillac ATS/CTS for what may be a surprising comparison.
Then, do what feels most comfortable for you!
Good luck!

It's hard to offer constructive comments or opinions with no history of the car or what went on between you and your dealer and MB-USA. All you mentioned in previous posts was aggressive shifting and a dealer repair of a Burmester speaker.
What exactly happened?

Car was produced on November or December I believe.
I'm really just relieved that I didn't end up keeping the car, considering it's brand new and has been worked on so much... They had pretty much, by the end, opened up most of the car and from my past experience with stuff like this - I know it would never be 100% the same as it was coming from the factory, despite their guarantee and word that it would be factory quality in the end(it wasn't... they just created more issues that had to be fixed)
If you guys want more specifics - there was issues with extra paint/no paint/chips in the paint/incorrectly placed privacy film/speaker issues/rattles/un-lubricated and incorrectly placed center console/the whole engine thing/stuff leaking/and lastly, it started to have new issues while at the service! Really just way too many stuff for a brand new car, especially for one at this price range...

Oh man... First the dealership was being argumentative and unhelpful. Then got the owner involved, then everything started to get dragged out and they started to take longer and longer to get back to me. Around the last week, I had to start calling daily and leaving messages to ensure there still was a line of communication going on... It was just a horrible experience where I felt out of control and made me regret ever purchasing this car. I seriously started to feel like I was robbed of my money - that's how difficult of an experience it was... It was all show and no substance when I was dealing with MB.

I still don't really understand what exactly was wrong with the car. But I infer that MB took the car back and refunded your money and you are deciding what to do next?

Ya I'm trying to figure out what to do. I loved the car for the 1 week out of 5 that I was actually able to drive it.

Buy a different car like a Lexus, don't buy another Benz and find happiness elsewhere

MB W204, VW Polo, Audi R8 V10 - SOLD.
I think this boils down to whether you would be happy with another MB. I would certainly test-drive other cars like Sportstick has mentioned. At least this gives you a flavour for whether you would favour another car. If you are drawn back to the MB then at least you know you gave the others a shot but the MB suited you best.
Good luck with your decision.

I think the dealer you chose made the experience worse so just go to another dealer if you still want the same model car.

We bought the C300 because of too many problems with our Lexus GS 300. You can have lemons in any brand no matter what you paid for it. They are built by humans no matter the cost. The reason we never gave them another try was I never felt comfy in their car. The car has to also fit the person.
