Panoramic sun shade

I love my panoramic roof. It was a must have when purchasing my W205. My only issue is sometimes I wish it had solid shade cover over the the mesh look. When the roof is open I love letting the sunlight shine in. Problem is when it's closed it still lets a good amount of sun in. And here in Florida we get a lot of it! This pic is with the roof and shade closed.

Some may actually like the mesh look. Anyone else wish we had a solid shade?

I would have to agree. Being located in Phoenix, I have a feeling that this mesh shade won't due much good during the summer temps.

Maybe something aftermarket that's solid? I agree, the netted doesn't work here.

Panoramic sunroofs in general are fun for the northern and cooler territories. I have to usually special order cars to not get sunroofs. Fun to look at once and show a friend or two, and that's about that. We enjoy but need a place to escape bright sunshine here.

Can't be that difficult to come up with some sort of a solid cover. Have to think about that one. I traded in my hard top convertible BMW Z4 for the benz. I must have opened the top 4 times in just over a year of ownership. The sun is just brutal here!

I totally understand you about the sun. Today included!

Not that I know how, but if you could get the roller out, I'd think some upholstery shop may be able to come up with something, assuming you're keeping the car a good while, maybe worth it. Might even be able to make several and sell some to other folks on craigslist or such.
