Poor visibility in driver's mirror when raining?
When it rains outside, my left side mirror gets water droplets all over it, completely distorting the view in the mirror. My driver's glass window is also covered with water droplets. Does this happen to anyone else?
Never experienced this on other cars, and it's incredibly dangerous when you're trying to change lanes during the night. |

Have you tried using rainx? Water just slides off glass after you apply it.
I haven't noticed a problem yet on my new C300. I went the opposite way on the mirrors of my previous 2007 C2804matic. I used anti-fog products. My problem was mirrors that were fogged up in the morning. Even if the temperature was low enough to activate the mirror heating feature, they would take a while to clear. Anti-fog products make the water sheet and either drain off or evaporate. In the meantime, the glass or mirror is clear. The drainage (or simply rain) does carry away the anti-fog product fairly quickly. So a product that is convenient to apply and always available is necessary. I used the same wipes I use to prevent fogging on the inside of my windshield.:zoom: |
Anyone else have this issue with their '15 C-Class? It makes driving during traffic really dangerous as the side mirrors are really distorted by the rain droplets.

I do have this issue and have had this issue with all my cars. I also recommend rain-x on the windows and mirrors. I use the original rain-x and sometimes the 2-in-1 cleaner/repellent rain-x spray but the original works best IMO. It will greatly reduce, if not eliminate your issue. Rain visibility is a critical issue and this is the best solution i've found so far.
