Single exhaust on a C300
I was in a snowy area a couple of weeks ago and while waiting for the defroster to clear the back window, I noticed that there was steam/vapor coming out of only one of the exhausts. Put my hand over the passenger side exhaust and I can feel the air pressure but when I put my hand over the driver side exhaust, I felt nothing.
Looked under the car and all the piping and muffler is there for a dual exhaust setup. If one of their selling points was to save weight, why did they keep the unused exhaust side on the car?
I just thought it was weird why they would do that. I have an Audi B7 A4 2.0 turbo and it has dual exhausts that work on a similar sized engine displacement, I couldn't see why they made it a single on this car.
Was following another thread, "Fake exhaust tips on the C200", and hoped what was going in that thread wasn't true for the US-spec but mine is like that. Fake tips and fake dual exhaust.

Have someone rev the engine while you feel both pipes. You'll probably get more from one than the other, but you should feel exhaust from both pipes.

Honda S2000 comes to mind as a modern day sports car with a well known and derided ricey dual exhaust.
