Climate control display quirk

Hi all

I just noticed that when I turn my car on, even though the climate control is on auto, the display shows fan 3 and air distribution floor.
Thats not what the climate control is doing, it's just the display that spears frozen. Once the fan or distribution is changed it comes back to normal.

Anyone else see the same thing?
The pic shows its on auto but look at the display.

That never happened to me, but you could try to reboot COMAND by holding the eject CD button until the screen shuts off and on. If that doesn't work, then I recommend you take it to your service center and might update your system.

Does it do it if the sync button is activated?

I believe the sync button you are referring to (as seen on your picture) syncs the front and rear A/C. So you could definitely go ahead and try it. Let me know if it works out for you. Please note that you may have to press the eject button for around 10 seconds.

The sync button syncs left and right temp control.

I didn't notice this at first and it's taken a while to notice it in fact. Once I manipulate the controls its all good again so I don't see the point of a reset.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing. BTW it's an erratic thing. Doesn't do it every time.

I spoke too soon... so this is what I discovered this afternoon while I was cleaning my car.

When I have the media screen up and playing music, it shows 22 degrees Auto direction, Auto Fan, Sync On.. the system is on Auto..
When I press Nav and use the Nav ... it does the Temp at 22, but Fan on 3 and distribution on the footwell..
Very weird, software glitch I am thinking.. as I switch from Media to Nav it switches back and forth..
