Throwing it about...

So as the engine is progressively running in I'm starting to explore the car a bit more and today took to a few roads where I could throw it about a bit.

One thing I noted in particular was a feeling of rear wheel steering, which I can only think is torque vectoring using the brakes. Has anyone noted this sensation also? It was as if the back end of the car, while fully gripping and stable was also turning as well as the front to increase the actual turn into a corner.

Its not a sensation I've had in another car to date and wondered quite a bit about it.

Sounds like the ESP Dynamic Cornering Assist.
ESP® Dynamic Cornering Assist
In critical handling situations the Electronic Stability Program ESP® can keep the vehicle from skidding. With targeted brake interventions on individual wheels ESP® reduces oversteer or understeer tendencies and thus increases handling safety.

In addition, the engine output is adjusted as needed. A yaw-rate sensor continuously monitors vehicle movement around its vertical axis and ESP® compares the actual values measured with the target value, which is based on the driver's steering input and the vehicle speed.

The instant the vehicle deviates from this ideal line, ESP® intervenes by working to counteract any swerving movements as they occur. This way, ESP® helps the driver to stabilise the vehicle within the laws of physics – particularly when cornering and during sudden evasive manoeuvres.

Especially when accelerating on bends, the ESP®-based system ensures more stability and handling safety. If the ESP® sensors register a tendency to understeer, it can reduce this tendency with targeted brake actuation on the inside wheels.
It can be disabled (at your own risk!)
