Anyone else have to pay for this?
Is it mandatory, its $249.99+ tax.
Sales person says its part of the standard fees.
Also is this not the etching from the factory, a 3rd party upsell?

Hey no you don't have to pay for that.
I ordered my c300 in Toronto on April 25th and delivery was May 1.
My sales person understood my want and did not argue about the etching charge which was not useful to me.

Where are you buying yours from and what have they quoted you/what's the discount percentage that have offered?

I just got my car. April 28. They never offered me this or anything actually. Just told me that I have one year to pre pay my maintenance if wanted too.
It's a 39 month lease and I'm in Montreal if that makes a difference.

My dealer wanted me to buy that as well. As it turn out it depends if it is already done on the vehicle. You can always say NO. It is up to dealer to find you a new car without it or give it to you at free of charge.
