Newbie questions

Hi All,

New to the forum and new to Mercedes.

I'm considering a `15 C Class and am wondering a few things. Hopefully you guys have some info and can indulge me.

  • C400 - Is it still planned to have a RWD version or is that a bust with upcoming C450 and C63?
  • If there is to be a RWD C400, should I expect it to be cheaper than the 4matic?
  • Does the RWD C300 sit any lower than the 4matic?
  • For that matter, does the C400 sit any different than the 300 both with 4matic?

Thanks guys!

The C400 is being discontinued, it will be replaced entirely by the C450 which will only be offered in 4matic. If you want RWD, you will either need to get the C300 or move up to a C63.

With that said, i believe RWD sits lower than 4matic (although you can adjust the height on 4matics with airmatic) and will also be cheaper than 4matic.

Someone with more experience can give you more details regarding the height. Hope that helps clear somethings up.

Not exactly what I'd hoped, but makes perfect sense. Thanks for the info.
