2013 Acura RDX and 2012 Mini

Oder with Air Off

Recently the weather has been great so I have been using the sunroof and windows and the air off .

The fresh air has been rancid smelling . Car is 4 months old . Anyone experience anything similar ?

I'm a bit confused here...you say that you have a smell in the car with the windows down and the sunroof open but if you close them, no smell? Umm...wouldn't this be a result of the area you are driving in and not the car?

If you turn the air conditioning on, does the smell go away? I get that in my Golf if I have air-con on for a bit and then turn it off.

Mine has great smell to the car. Confused as well on it with windows open, would think that's more pollution where you live. Even without the air purification, the cars have a carbon filter I think for the inlet air.
