Sealed Gap
The gap between the rear door and side cover just seems like a design miss.

I wonder if it is a drain?
.
What do you think -- actually applied Hondabond HT -- will see how it holds and if it collects dirt before applying to drivers rear door.

Silicone Sealant
Hondabond HT -- is a High Temp silicone based gasket seal that I had left over from a valve cove gasket job on my BMW -- that closely matched the silver paint. Just try to match your paint with any silicone sealant and remove the masking before it dries & wipe out any excess.

Think I will do a similar project on the upper front windshield next weekend. Some Black RTV in the trim to windshield void should eliminate some wind noise and be almost unnoticeable.
