C200 Bluetec Automatic
Hi All,
Absolutely brand new to this forum and I'm in the UK and really enjoying seeing everyones cars and information.
I'm a long term BMW driver and my company has just added the new C class to our car list. Its a really rigid company so we don't have a lot of choice which has put me into a bit of an issue. I do like the BMW in a lot of ways its the best car for my money with what we can get, but also like the chance to try a Mercedes
I can either have the following;
C220 Diesel Bluetec Auto in the SE (UK Spec) version + the executive pack with about £900 to spend on options but unfortunately in the UK, the SE options are limited. You can't even add a Sunroof??
or
C200 diesel Bluetech Auto Sport with around £700 to put options on so I can add privacy glass etc..
I'm leaning towards to the C200 Sport as you get more spec and its a lot nicer looking - I've had a small test drive but it wasn't a demonstrator so I couldn't take it onto the motorway, it drove well and I'm starting to see a lot around in the UK on the Motorways now.
Just wondering if anyone had any feedback on the C200 diesel auto - I've done a lot of internet search and there isn't many with the auto box, and the others say that the engine is ok, needs pushing which you would expect.
I don't want a manual gearbox, and ideally love the C220 Sport, but my company are a bit prehistoric on car policies its unreal.
Any info on this engine and auto gearbox would be great.

2016 C200 Sport - Auto
Hi, thanks for the reply, unfortunately I can only go for the C220 SE Exec, I prefer the Sport in both options and Styling but they won't budge on policy!

Hi,
Yes I've heard it's a Renault engine, and it's had quite good feedback. I imagine it's built to Mercedes spec and they of course support it.
It would be my first Mercedes so I'm going to try and get another test drive in it before I commit.
The only person I've spoke to had the C200 bluetec manual and he was really happy.
I love the styling of the car and the interior is much better than the BMW IMO
