Random Starting Problems
I don't know if anyone else has had this but for some reason my C300 Hybrid sometimes refuses to start. Basically I do the same as always, get in, seat belt on, foot on brake and press start and into D which is all pretty normal however sometimes the car goes into D and then back to park, when I then try to put it back into D in displays the message 'To shift out of P or N depress brake and start the engine'. I then have to press the start button which obviously turns the car off and then try again.
98% of the time it's fine but when it does go wrong it can take 3 or 4 attempts before it finally goes into drive. It's also slightly more complicated because being a Hybrid more often then not the diesel engine doesn't actually start until you hit 10 - 15mph. I have spoken to the dealers and they want the car back in to investigate but I was just wondering whether anyone else has experienced this yet?
I've got to say I really love my car but this looks like it might be the 2nd software problem on it. It's reliability is not impressing for a car with just 2000 miles on the clock!
