It is loud and flapping like a flag on a very windy day. It is definitely due to crosswinds. It is nothing like any car I have ever drove. It could be the mirrors but also the door frames or door seals or the rain gutters. Or some flaw in the assembly. The early models tested for car magazines seem to have had the acoustic glass that is not available on the USA models so perhaps this is why it was not reported at all. My dealer is recommending the CLA over the C class until this is resolved. It is all expressway driving here and the wind noise is the first thing you notice when you drive off the lot.

Have you tried replacing the seals? I've heard that has worked for some people.
I called MBZ yesterday to re-document my wind noise issue and the phone rep told me once again that this was the first she had heard of the issue. I'm flabbergasted at the company's lack of acknowledgement of the issue.
Is it worth anyone trying to replicate Peugeots 406 wind fix from 20 years a go? Tape flush some matchsticks and see if you can remove the turbulence? Is it a sealing or an air disturbance problem?
