Connecting to Internet
When I try to use any internet functions the car tries to connect to the phone, "hotspot activated" pops up on the phone but the car eventually gives up. I have an Iphone 5 on GiffGaff. Phone calls and music working well. I take this is a phone issue rather than car issue? Any other UK owners have any problems?

205 220 C Class
I've reported this to my dealer. Seems to be a mismatch between the c class 205 and some phone providers.
Basically, my iPhone 5 at a supported level of IOS as per the compatibility list on the MB website does not work in my c class (it does exactly what you describe). Dealer blamed the phone and O2 despite me explaining that it tethers just fine to my iPad, my laptop etc.
They still insisted it was O2. They also told me that they had tried a Vodophone enabled iPhone in my c class and it worked.
Then, I borrowed a 1 month old CLS when my car was in for a repair. My phone with Command on the CLS worked perfectly and gave an Internet connection.
Apparently it's been fed back to MB. I suggest you raise it too as I was told that 'they are aware of an issue with O2'. You're not with O2 and their logic makes no sense to me because I can assure you my phone connects to the net in another Mercedes so surely all they need to do is to 'do the same as they did in the CLS and it will work'

GiffGaff is effectively O2 so seems like it may be an O2 issue given the posts above.
I can tether the phone to my Ipad no problem.
Am I missing out on much with the internet functions? Any must haves?

2015 C220 AMG Line Bluetech.
I have a Lumia Windows phone, on EE - works perfectly and an iPhone5 on PAYG that is jail broken and has a Cydia App (TetherMe for IOS8x) to share the Data connection (Vodafone) which works perfectly too.
