You need the above part but also a GPS antenna, the retrofit GPS antenna is placed under the intrument cluster and connected to the HU behind the panel.
When finished add SA code 357 and code HU
My car already comes with GPS antenna but lacks the SDCard reader. Do you know if I could get the maps in (Mercedes-Benz Garmin MAP PILOT 2015/2016 SD-karte Audio 20 A2139060303) with a external SDCard reader through one of the USB ports?
This is an old thread, but i have the same question as the thread starter and i cant find any answer for it, so i hope maybe someone tried this.
I have a new Mercedes C 220d 4-matic (w205) 2017 with:
(522) Audio 20 CD with Touchpad
(818) CD-player
(270) GPS antenna
Because i bought my car without preparation for Garmin (355), i thought i could add this by myself. So i order this SD Card input slot plus the Garmin SD-card from ebay. My car has just two USB-slot. Tonight i tried to change the unit in my car, but it cant recognize the SD Card Input slot. The SD-card cant be recognized and neither of the usb works when i put an USB stick in them.
Does someone know if this is because its not compatible with my car model (are there different 355 units)? Can it be due to some code need to be added in my cars head unit. I read about SA code 357 and code HU need to be added with star diagnosis. But i think its strange neither of the USB works in the unit because of the codes is missing. The connectors on the behind of the units look exactly the same.
Did you get trough the problem with the gps unit? Could you please advise me what is needed? I also want to by the part number A2058200126 but do not know if it will work.
