New Car advice

hi

I'm just about to place an order for (company car)

C300 AMG
18" Wheels
Air sus
black open-pore ash

any info on average MPG for UK version and is the wind noise still very much an issue?

thanks for your help - --its this one or the e220

If I were buying for MPG-minded reasons, I'd go for the E250 Blutech. Just my $.02 (or my 'twopenny post')

Remember that the UK C300 is different car to the U.S. version. Over here it is a diesel hybrid.

Overall, the C300 will give you better performance and MPG, compared to the E220 - plus, IMO, a much nicer, modern, interior. I believe, also that the tax implications will be better.

Agreed ..... Very different car in UK ...
I had the same dilema. So drove both back to back . ...
C300 hybrid drives better and looks better (especially interior) - current e class interior is beginning to look dated especially after getting out of a new c class.

Would be worth looking into how often you need to charge the car as well.
Also the 300 is heavier than the 200/250 due to the additional electric motor. So you might want to look at the optional suspension package

I honestly didn't know that. Thanks. Silly Mercedes naming convention..

With regard to the wheels - it really all depends on what you prefer the look of - many prefer the look of the multi-spokes, if you do then go with the 19s. For me, I prefer the 5 spokers, so that's why I plumped for the 18s. For me, the ideal would have been 19" five spoke wheels, but they don't seem to exist as OEM.

After all, you will be living with this car for a reasonably long period, it is all about your taste.
