Finally done at the dealer on Friday. SA code K30 has been removed from Data card and followed by the necessary coding. Like horizon said, the dealer requested no additional cost. Now I am waiting from them to give me a quote for the black ashwood center console and the fire extinguisher mount.
I took the photo in a hurry. Sorry for the quality.

Does the removal of K30 also fully enable the intelligent light system? If I remember correctly the ILS in Europe have individual light modules that can detect when a car or person is ahead and will shut off high beam only in that one spot. It also curves as your turn and is adaptive to weather

ILS does all of the above by default. As far as I am aware, K30 removal only addresses the superficial, but oh so nice blue light function. The W205 uses LED ILS as opposed to bi-xenon ILS. More details on the the following link. To be honest, I haven't really put it much to the test yet to discern a significant difference to previous cars which had xenons, but then again I've mainly been driving in lighted areas.

Ah I thought it was bundled with ILS. So I'm guessing 628 just isn't available in the US?

It's actually the other way round. 628 is just the dynamic high beam assist part. ILS is a lot more (and hence the cost). The previous links go into the functions of ILS. Also, I stand to be corrected, but from what I've read, including here in this forum, there are no markets where 628 is available without ILS (641/642 for RH traffic)

To be more precise, 641/642 are listed as dynamic headlights in the vehicle data cards. 638 and 641/642 complete each other and work as an ILS. That is why, like horizon said, they are bundled together in most of the regions. I don't know what kind of limitations you have in the US for LEDs but if there is a K30 in the data card, the procedure is pretty easy for the removal unless there are other restrictions.

So I finally got the chance to get the dealership to look into this. When they pulled up the codes on VeDOK, they found that US models only have 608 and 640 listed for LED and ILS systems respectively. Thus K30 doesn't even exist. They tried inserting K30, 641, and 642 then removing them, but it doesn't do anything. My guess is that US models, since they're made in Alabama, receive separate units for headlights, so it's impossible for us to receive blue DRL on start up.

Hi guys I'm new to the Forum and Mercedes. I've been a BMW driver and fanatic for 22 years can you please breakdown the LED blue that you are referring to in the post? Or pictures because I know in BMW you can code the car to have a lot of different features example your angel eyes brighter (certain %'s) certain blinkers can be shut off, Windows sunroof up and down with the key fob...ecta, ect.. . Are features like this also possible in the w205 model most likely the 2018 I know it's not available yet, but same type of computer or current versions?

This is by design, because the white LED is considered too bright (regulation wise) to have on at the same time as the blinker and therefore must be dimmed or turned off. Many other cars do this such as Range Rovers and Audis, the LED DRL temporarily turns off when the turn signal/hazard lights are activated.
