Good morning! Why is my trunk open?
Early this morning my neighbor rang my door bell to tell me my trunk was wide open. I, my wife, daughter and grandson are positive it was locked: believe me we would have noticed the trunk lid completely open. My neighbors would also.
Nothing was missing. Everything was as as I stowed it.
could it be someones house alarm or perhaps another car is on a similar frequency?
What's your guess?

I would bet that we would have heard about a frequency interference issue by now.
BMWs had some issues with the kick to open feature. Out of curiosity, do you have the hands-free-access pkg on your car?

my guess is the trunk button on a key was inadvertently activated, say by something in a purse or bumped by a char etc.
