Winter Rims & Tires
Hello guys,
I received my C400 4M with the following rims/tires set :
Front : 225 / 40 R19 ; 7.5J x 19 H2 5x112 ET44
Rear : 255 / 35 R19 ; 8.5J x 19 H2 5x112 ET52
I'm looking for a new set of rims and tires for winter, and will probably opt for the following (as specified in the document from Mercedes Germany)
Front and Rear : 225 / 50 R17 ; 7.5J x 17 H2 5x112 ET48.5.
My problem is that I can't fond rims of this dimension (i.e. 7.5J x 17 H2 5x112 ET48.5) for sale on internet web-sites here in Europe. The problem is most of the time the ET index. I wanted to ask you if I can mount on my C400 4 rims of dimension 7.5J x 17 H2 5x112 ET48 instead of ET48.5.

Not sure where you are in europe. I am in france and mercedes have a winter wheel set in their accessories catalogue for the size you need fitted with bridgestone blizzack tyres. They were priced at 2000 euro the set ie 500 euro per wheel inc the tyre pressure monitor but excl the centre wheel hub cover at the begining of the year but i note no price is shown currently.

I have a quote from my dealership for the same 5 spoke wheels as currently fitted 17inch R24 in the french catalogue tpm and centre wheel covers with michelin alpine for about 2100. They have also offered a big discount as they would not take the winter wheel set i have for the glk and i am left with the hassle of selling them.....but the amount offered is enough to make it a worthwhile hassle fortunately.. i shall be ordering mine in the next couple of weeks.
