C300 (AMG Sports Package) Engine Noise
Hi everyone!
I am new to the forum and recently leased a 2015 C300 with AMG Sports Package in NY. A few months ago (in the middle of the winter cold) I started noticing a noise coming from the engine compartment. The noise is predominantly noted when the engine is cold at idle and I can hear it also when driving. Essentially after lifting off of the throttle or while slowing down when the engine is revving down I hear what sounds like a fluttering as the rpms decrease. can this be the waste gate or some other turbo related issue? it seems to be less prevalent when the engine is warmed up! Took it in for service - they told me I had a stone in the tire thread! Took it in again and they couldn't replicate the sound as they drove the car. Anybody else noticed that?
