So I eventually managed to update the map

But after putting it back in the car it still shows the old version???

Any ideas?
I note that the update manager is also temperamental!

I think the current version for Europe is 3.0 2014-2015

I've done it. I found the download manager would not work on my default chrome browser but worked fine when I ran it through explorer.

I've some experience of hacking the becker maps ie garmin and you'll find the car is reporting the original HEX header version which is not changed during the update as its part of the copy protection. It does not mean you are not running the updated maps :y
