Question Multimedia Package Vs Nav Sim Disc?

I think that if we discuss the differences between the multimedia package and nav sim disc, it would be helpful to a lot of people:

I know that the screen size is smaller without the multimedia package.
Is it true that you cannot use voice controls-for example to voice the address for the navigation-- if you do not have the multimedia package?
Also, would you have to add on the rearview camera without the multimedia package?

, if you want the review camera

Not sure why I can't edit the above response correctly, but the final point was:

Yes, you have to add the rearview camera if you want one and you don't purchase command.

And I just checked the MY16 Dealer Order Guide. It appears Voice Control is not a standalone option anymore. If you want Voice Control, you likely need to order the Multi Media package, where Voice Control is standard.

Truly they are not in the same planet. Absolutely worth the extra money, the plusses are essentially everything the negatives are non existent. The only reason to get the cheaper system is if the price of the more expensive system will break the car buying budget. Just looking at each one back to back will dispel any misgiving you may have in one glance and that doesn't even start to describe the functional advantages.

The car I got does have the multimedia package. I didn't want to get the nav sim disc just for a small savings off the price. According to the dealer, you cannot use voice commands on nav alone.
