Fuel Efficiency on W205
Just wanted to gauge at what's everyone getting in terms of mileage out of their 2015 C class. So far I'm on my first tank of gas, driven in Comfort mode the entire time pretty much due to break-in period, so far got 29x.xx with 4 bars remaining and instrument reading 13x.xx miles remaining.
From what I understand, after break-in period, fuel efficiency should go up a little if properly broken in. What's everyone else getting before/after break in?
I'm located in Los Angeles and I noticed during hotter months, I tend to get a little bit more out of the car.

This is very dependent on the local driving conditions and the driver. I have a C300 and most of the roads here are not level for any distance. Still, on highway runs I have broken 35 mpg, and average about 26-29 mpg on local roads. I did not see any dramatic change in the numbers after break-in.
As an aside, I have not seen any significant variation between the car's computer fuel economy readings and my own manual calculations, which is really unusual.

After a couple thousand miles, I'm averaging a little over 27 mpg in my 2015 C300 Sport 4Matic.
That's with a mixture of 60% back roads, and 40% highway...mostly consisting of bumper to bumper traffic.

Tried with my c400 on eco mode running @ 51 mph average i got 30.1 mpg on a 43 miles run. I was thinking this car can go 32 or more mpg.. if i go another 50 miles

My C300 RWD is the most fuel efficient car I've ever owned. On road trips I get between 33-35mpg with 4 passengers and a full trunk. In suburban traffic it's closer to 25-26mpg. Pleasantly surprised at the efficiency for a car this size.

My s205 c200 petrol gets barely better mileage than my six year old 3.0 twin turbo 300hp BMW. Not impressed by the fuel efficiency on the MB at all. Even on a motorway run I struggle to get more than 38mpg UK. Nowhere near the 56 quoted no matter how hard I try.

Interesting, I guess that is why the term "Your mileage may vary" exists. I had a 2007 e90 335i and the fuel efficiency couldn't touch my C300. Not familiar with how accurate mpg estimates are in the UK, but if you are getting 18mpg less than advertised you might want to get your car checked out.

Either the calculations are off or your car is definitely broken. The C300 should be significantly more thrifty than a 335, unless you only drive on sport and sport plus. Even my c400 is thriftier than a 330 if I drive on ECO.

My first tank of gas I got about 25mpg mixed driving. With Mercedes I noticed that on the highway it is extremely fuel efficient but in the city it is extremely poor. I'm hoping I can get some consistency, on my second tank of gas and I'm already noticing poor fuel efficiency if I don't run on the highway and I've been driving in comfort mode the entire time. I'd really like to consistently hit 400 miles before the fill up light comes on, that would be my ideal goal.

I'm told by the dealer to get some more miles on it, its just over 3K now and they say due to the short journeys I do and low miles it won't get great mileage for some time yet.
I'm hopeful as the MPG is far less than anticipated so far.

C300 diesel hybrid in the UK, achieving close to 50 MPG in stop / start city and country roads (non motorway). Note that's imperials gallons so would be equivalent ~41 MPG (US)

EQC 4matic AMG line Premium Plus replacing S213 220d 4matic with airmatic
250 diesel 4matic estate average over 5800k 6.3l per 100km according to the computer, 44mpg in uk. I have seen as low as 5.6l per 100km on longer journeys 50 mpg uk and once 5.3l per 100km. Lots of short journeys of about 8k total and lots of 25k at 90k max.
Published figs 5 to 5.2 mixed. Overall i am pleased.

On C300 Diesel Hybrid - over 5,000 miles I have been averaging over 65 MPG on mixed journeys - although nearer 55 MPG when more laden. On a recent 150 mile journey (motorway with traffic) I achieved just over 80MPG average - but was trying hard to get that.
Overall really pleased with the fuel economy - better than Lexus IS200 hybrid that I had previously, as well being a much better car overall.
Mine's a company car - the lower CO2 of the hybrid means it has a lower tax charge to me than the cheaper C200, so I do not see the higher purchase price.

Mine is brand new, so needs running in ....on first long trip I got 52mpg driving normally.
