Service A - Pre Paid Canada 'Recalls'

Took my car in for my Service A today.
I booked the appointment on Friday at which time I mentioned my non working door handle LEDs and stuck sun glasses holder.


At the dealership I watched as my advisor tried to pull up some phantom Command menu to control said lights.


I finally convinced him that they were blown by pointing out my one working one.


I arrived around 10:30am and he seemed concerned about the time to complete.


My car did not enter the service bay until some 3 hours after I dropped it off.
Since I was at work and had several services at this dealership I was not concerned.
Too make a long story short they told me they needed to keep it overnight but they needed the loaner back early in the morning and my car would need the rest of the day.
Turns out they have to order the LEDs and a new head unit for the sunglasses holder.
He then threw me when he used the word "recall"
My inquiry revealed that the headlight levelling system on both sides needs to be replaced along with a spacer for the coolant system, both were news to me.
I insisted that I needed my car or day loaner so they completed service A.
Parts arrive tomorrow but I will bring it in on Thursday.


Picked up my key fob no charge which is sort of a weird feeling.


I will post the part numbers when I get the paperwork.

The top section mentions the retrofit cap for headlamp adjustment screw.





The middle shows the spacer ring

The so called recall are just updated parts.
Everything fixed no charges and an invoice that really does not tell you a lot.
Pre paid maintenance has a lot of zeros for hours and costs.
