We used to have a large MB group (20-30 MBs) up in the bay that would go for cruises through the city, Half Moon Bay, or up in Marin. Had a few meets at Presidio and Treasure Island.
I'd also be in, I'm in Santa Clara. I have gone on one of the first Sunday drives for the Mercedes-Benz Club of America, SF Bay Area . Joined a few months ago. I was the only W205 when I did the drive in August. Have been away and unable to do other drives since then.

Santa clara to Santa Cruz maybe? only thing it's slow, too many cars, scratch that. Yeah, I belong to the sacramento chapter, been for a while, it's a good resource, but not many new model owners join or know about it.

These are more mature, good to see classic, vintage and different new models. A very nice crowd, but conservative.
What I like to have are a more spirited (not crazy), modified or not, on twisty country roads. Most in the city are packed with bicyclist and such. there are a lot of roads like these to explore, or an abandoned air strip.
He is correct it is a more mature group, nice people. Not many new cars at all, and definitely not modded. It is very consistent and every first Sunday. Wish I could attend the November drive but will be headed to NY for the World Series, Let's Go Mets.

Sorry, I did not see your post. Yes I live in the area and commute to Santa Clara 3 days a week, I almost never take the 580 or 680, my route is Patterson, maybe Altamont through Livermore, than Calaveras to Milpitas, where I become part of the herd (milpitas to santa clara).
