I had the 2nd gear ****** problem on my C300 diesel hybrid. I left the car into the main dealer last week requesting he check for the latest software version in the ECU/TCU. According to them there was no later release than the one installed (June 2015 reg) so I didn't have high expectations that they would resolve the problem. Next day I picked up the car, it was perfect - no more snatching into second gear. According to the service rep the master tech made some adjustment to the shift map / control. Time will tell if it lasts or reverts back to its old ways.

The Tech cant do that, he can do a transmission adaption but he cannot make changes to the engine or transmission maps.

I drove the 220 D diesel today the gearbox in that is silky smooth. My C200 petrol even with the latest software is still jerky by comparison. Something still isn't right.

Interesting regarding the fuel valve. When I am gassing up at certain stations, the pump keeps shutting off even though my tank is empty.

I'm still getting very poor shifting, it's getting worse as ambient temperatures are dropping now in the UK. I'm told I have the latest software and eeprom data sent to MB appears 'fine'. I'm pressing for a proper tech from MB now as surely I don't have to drive the car at a snails pace or lifting off at every shift to prevent the jerk that occurs when the box shifts in low gears.

I have the same experience with my C220d (MY16). The transmission is very, very smooth.
