Anyone know the screen resolutions for the 7" and 8.5" displays?

This is a little aged, but I think the TFT info is still accurate:

The screen resolutions of the 2 screens are comparable considering the size difference.

Why do many members say that the 8.4 inch looks a lot better...

On the w204 the difference is substantial but the w205 they're comparable as far as resolution goes.

I could be wrong on this, but if memory serves, the smaller screen is plastic and the 8.4" screen is glass. That could certainly account for why people see a better image on the larger screen.
