Here's a really bizarre one ....
I have been having an odd problem with the Send2Benz feature on my MBrace iPhone app. When I enter an address, and then enter a name for it, the address appears on the car's navigation system but with a random name taken from a previous entry. This is very confusing. I called MB-USA and they said they were aware of the issue and we're working on a fix for it. Yesterday I noticed a new destination entry on my nav screen .... VZT from Atlanta, Georgia .... an entry I never made and didn't recognize. I looked it up and it's Verizon Technologies, the company that provides the MB online services.
I sent a new entry to the car via Send2Benz this morning, then checked the car. The proper name now showed up in the car, for the first time in months. It's fixed, so I assume Verizon actually remotely accessed the system and sent a patch. Very weird!

Someone commented on this very same thing in another a thread a week or two ago. If I remember correctly, they checked with MB and it's supposedly known this happens, but I don't remember if there was anything that could be done to resolve it.

That would have been me. At that time I was told it was being worked on. The download of the data from VZT that I found on my car was apparently the fix they came up with. I'm guessing that those downloads were only targeted to the accounts of owners who filed a complaint with MB-USA/MBrace.
