My wife just returned from work, and during her drive home, the Nav unit suddenly changed from a map to "the map data does not match with command". The center instrument display also shows "Please insert map media".

Any ideas, or are we off to the dealership?

I'd reboot the system first before I made an appointment at the dealer.

To Reboot: Press and hold the CD/DVD Eject button until the system reboots

See if that brings things back up correctly.

Thanks, I will try that if I ever need to in the future.

Ironically, my wife just ran to the store and texted me that the map is now working. The car was off for about an hour, so maybe that did the trick. I'll be interested to see if it happens again.

You can count on warm next week. Today we broke the all time record for the hottest November day on record. It was 92 degrees. Too warm for November, if you ask me.

Up here too..it was about 78 in Rochester, NY today.

They say it's because of this monster El Nino. I hope it doesn't mean we won't have cool weather this winter in Florida. We deserve a break from the high heat and humidity we get most of the year.
