bermester vs regular speaker behind the command unit

Does anyone have a picture of the bermester and/or base speaker which is located behind the command unit?

There is no speaker back there for the standard audio system. There is one for Burmester but I've never seen a picture of it.

What do you need the picture for?

My brother in law wants to get a c300 but the one he's interested in is not equipped with the bermester. He's wondering if he can simply swap the speakers and if they are the same size.

Good to know that there isn't a speaker in the center of the dash, which means no wiring either and that just complicates things too much.

Swapping the speakers may be possible, but it will never sound like a Burmester system, because it won't be a Burmester. The electronics have a lot to do with the system as well.

If he really wants a Burmester (and I can understand why as I think it's a fantastic system) he should select a C with the system.

I don't know why a lot of people are saying there's no speaker in the central dash. I opened it and there's on indeed. Am I missing something?

That's what I told him,
I heard the base audio system in a loaner car and I'm very glad I got the bermester.

The standard sound has no bass.

He just doesn't want to wait for a an order and wants to take one from the lot.

He prefers having the colour of his choice than the sound system.

Any dealer can do a search of other MB inventory and find the color and options he wants and dealers swap cars all the time. It's his money, but he should get the car he wants with the options he wants. Otherwise he may be disappointed.

You are right, there is a center channel speaker in the base audio system.

The part number for the base audio center speaker is A2058200902. For the Burmester system it is 2058200502.

I think the standard audio system have only 5 speakers... 4 in each door and 1 in passengers side. The guys here said there is a center speaker in center console in standard system.
Did you test if the sounds come from that speaker in center comsole? What is the model year?

Im confused now.

Mine is 2015. Bought it in Dec 2014. No, I didn't test it if there is sound coming out. I don't see why mb would install the speaker and not connect it to sound.

That speaker in the base system is used for calling Mbrace. My mother has an ML with base audio and that's what the middle speaker is used for
