SMS (Text Messages) no longer readable in car.
I can no longer access my new SMS text messages in my car. When I click the envelope, I'm told there are no new messages.
Is it the new Mercedes-Benz Firmware or my new iPhone 6s (replacing my 5s) I don't know.
Does anyone have a solution?

Do the following on your iPhone:
Settings
Bluetooth
See MB Bluetooth and note the little blue i inside a circle on the right
Touch the blue circle
Turn on Show Notifications
That's all you have to do and you will now get your text messages on your system in the car.

To reboot: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your phone will restart.

Text messages are a NO GO....aaarrrggghh!!
2014 E350 iphone 6S. Newbie to MBWORLD.
I've been having this same problem for days now. Reboots, deletes, re-pairing - nothing gets me past the NO TEXT MESSAGES box.
Phone works OK. Bluetooth audio is there OK but texts --- nothing. They just won't push over to the car. Most annoying!
Ideas out there?? Thanks...Steve Z

No go for me, with iPhone 6...is this a Command only perk?

i tried everything . the dealer is claiming it is Iphone (apple) comparability issue .
at the dealership SMS works with different phones
1- if you have new SMS and then connected to the car, the car will not notice the new SMSs and will not show it in notification
2- you can not download any old sms .
3- only shows new SMSs if you received it while the car is connected .
MB official response is not satisfactory as they did not even check !!

Just ask Siri to read you the text messages.
