companion app working perfectly fine since day 1 in my car (i took delivery 3 weeks ago).
however, it's pretty much useless.
i mean tire pressure is not live/real-time. it only checks once EACH time you turn engine on. so it's useless.
also gas gauge, i think i can check in the car myself.
other than that it has favorite destinations, again useless.
They could probably do so much more with this app.
Or at least bundle all apps into 1.
currently i have 3 apps: Mbrace, companion, and MBFS (benz financial services).
All 3 of them could have been done into 1 while greying out mbrace options if you are not subscribed.
As far as i can tell, Lexus has 1 app that pretty much does all this. Again, i think the germans are hideous when it comes to electronics. they are the best @ engiering tho, so that's good enough for me.

Not sure how useful the app will be but got a COMAND update today and now it works. 2016 built before the designated date.

I'm having hard time with my dealer to convince them to do an update because they say there is no update pending for my car and the app still is not working.

Does anyone know why the companion app wouldn't connect with cars built before October 1, 2015?
I was excited about trying it, but turns out my c450 was built on September 22nd, so it's "not supported" so says my dealership. Not thrilled to find out my NEW 2016 car is already out-of-date and can't be retrofitted.

I use my companion app on a daily basis, however, there isnt anything I couldn't find out while being inside the car..lol. I do find that it sends destination info to my Nav faster than Mbrace does.
