I have a 2015 C400.
Driving down the highway with distronic plus set at 115kms/hr, every thing working fine when I get the following error in the cluster display,
"radar sensors dirty, see user manual" then 2-3 minutes later It will come back with "Distronic plus available" and I can reactivate cruise.
Happened about 8 times over the last 2 months.
Front of vehicle is perfectly clean, absolutely no bugs or dirt on any of the front bumper sensors or the center grill emblem. Car had been washed and dried the previous week and kept in heated parking.
Road conditions were perfect with no rain, snow or dust.Slightly overcast and about 10 deg celcius.
Any thoughts before I book a service call with Mercedes ?

If all sensors are clean (cameras on windscreen, parking sensors and the main radar sensor behind the star on radiator grille) then this has to be a dealer job now, likely a faulty sensor.

I got the same "Radar sensors dirty" message during a snow storm drive from New York to Boston today. Distronic plus, and Parktronic didn't work. The warning message was correct. The sensors were so covered with ice that I couldn't remove it without damaging the sensors. I had to wait for it to melt.

Same thing happened to me. Interstate speeds, slush kicked up by the car ahead. I could just wipe it off when I got home.

We also have the same problem here in Norway,But i was just thinking if its enough to connect somekind of a heater on the backside of the star, to melt the snow/slush?
