Does anyone here have a C450 without the panorama roof in US? I've seen some videos on youtube and on some C450's, maybe even the other C models, without the panorama roof, there is a black colored flat shaped object about where most vehicles have the satellite radio/navigation antenna. I intend to get a white C450 without the panorama roof and I don't think I could get used to that black colored thing on the roof.

See following video. At 2:00 minute maek, you can see the black objest I'm talking about. Hopefully, it was a pre production car.

I have a white MBZ C300 without a sunroof, and I never even notice the sat. on the top.

Or does it have it and you mean that it doesn't bother you?

Yes I do have the black piece. I recall it standing out more so when I first got the car. I guess you just get used to things. Remember the old shark fin antena? That would look really bad.

I wonder why Mercedes doesn't paint that piece the body color of the car? I bet someone here will say that metallic paint would affect the antenna, but that's been proven not to be the case.

I may have to get the pano roof just so I don't have to look at that ugly black piece of plastic on the roof of a white car. Or I could get a dark color, which would hide it, but that's not going to happen. I'm going to ask my dealer if they can contact the factory and see what the story is about that unpainted piece of plastic.

If they still used the shark fin antenna like they currently do on the E and S class, I'd rather have that as long as it was body colored.

So does anyone here have a light colored C450 in the US WITHOUT the pano roof that doesn't have the dark colored plastic piece on the rear center of roof?
